Visual Encoding Studio

Encode text or files into pixel images with length and CRC headers, recover compatible PNGs, inspect image bit planes, and convert text to binary, hex, Base64, Morse or Braille.

Browser-local: processed in this tab. Use files you own or have permission to analyze. Experimental outputs are not certified evidence.

01 · Encode text or file into a visual image

RVE1 grayscale bit image stores bytes in pixels with length and CRC-32 header.

Encoding runs locally.

02 · Decode a visual payload

Recover RVE1 images made by the monochrome mode. Lossy recompression, scaling or cropping will corrupt the payload.

Decoded text/file details appear here.

03 · Text representation tools

Convert between UTF-8, binary, hexadecimal, Base64, Morse and Braille.

Choose a conversion.

04 · Bit-plane visualizer

Display one bit plane from an uploaded image's red channel.

05 · QR code lab: generate · damage · read

A from-scratch QR encoder (numeric / alphanumeric / byte, versions 1–10, levels L–H, automatic mask choice) and reader. Knock out modules or a centre logo and see Reed–Solomon repair the code. The reader uses the browser's barcode detector when present and its own decoder otherwise.

Generate a code to begin.

06 · EAN-13 / UPC-A / ISBN barcodes & check digits

Draws retail barcodes and calculates or validates check digits (EAN, UPC, ISBN-10/13, Luhn).

07 · Colour-grid codec (2–4 bits per cell)

Packs bytes into a grid of coloured cells with a calibration row, length and CRC-32. Decoding classifies cells against the calibration colours, so it tolerates lossy compression and colour shifts better than you would expect.

08 · Identicon & randomart

Turn any text or file hash into a recognisable picture, as used to compare keys and fingerprints at a glance (SHA-256).

09 · Invisible text: zero-width, tag characters & whitespace

Hide a message inside ordinary-looking text three ways, reveal it, and audit any pasted text for invisible characters, bidirectional controls and look-alike letters.

10 · Magic decoder

Paste anything encoded. Tries Base64/32/58/85, hex, binary, octal/decimal bytes, Morse, Braille, URL-encoding, ROT13/47, Caesar, Atbash and reversal, peels up to four layers and ranks the readable results.

11 · Image → 1-bit, ASCII & Braille art

Dithered monochrome bitmaps and text art from any picture.

Output appears here.

12 · Raw bytes from an image

Reads pixel values back as bytes: the reverse of the "byte grayscale" and "RGB packing" modes, and a quick look for files hidden in pixel data.
