Image Forensics Studio

Inspect image signatures, dimensions, partial JPEG EXIF, hashes, color statistics, recompression differences and aligned image comparisons.

Browser-local: your data is processed in this tab, not uploaded by these tools. Experimental results are educational; validate security-critical or forensic conclusions independently.

01 · Image intake & metadata

Dimensions, file signature, browser MIME, SHA-256 and partial JPEG EXIF tags.

Local-only analysis.

02 · Preview & histogram

Channel means, distinct levels, luminance entropy and distribution.

Analyze to calculate statistics.

03 · Recompression difference (ELA-like)

Re-encode JPEG, amplify pixel differences and download the visualization.

Analyze an image first.

04 · Compare another image

Hash equality, dimensions and aligned pixel MAE when dimensions match.

Choose comparison image.

05 · Metadata & JPEG internals

All EXIF/GPS tags, JPEG quality estimated from the quantisation tables, segment inventory, embedded thumbnails and trailing data. Also lists PNG/WebP chunks.

Choose an image in panel 01, then inspect.
Metadata appears here.

06 · Error level & noise consistency

ELA at a chosen quality and gain, plus a block noise-residual map. Regions whose noise or recompression error differs strongly from the rest are listed.

Flagged regions appear here.

07 · Bit-plane viewer & LSB steganalysis

View any bit plane per channel; chi-square pairs-of-values test (Westfeld–Pfitzmann) per channel and as a sequential curve; LSB statistics and capacity.

Steganalysis report appears here.

08 · Copy-move (clone) detector

Finds near-identical textured blocks at different locations, a common trace of cloning/healing edits. Heuristic; repeated patterns in natural scenes cause false positives.

Analyze an image first.

09 · Similarity lab (SSIM · PSNR · perceptual hashes)

Compares the image in panel 01 with the comparison image in panel 04. Perceptual hashes survive re-compression and resizing, so they find near-duplicates that SHA-256 cannot.

Choose both images (panels 01 and 04).
